HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The total processing time at the Inland Revenue Department generally takes approx 10 working days, although we are often able to deliver refunds to our clients within 3 days.

If your refund has not been received within 10 days, we will follow up with the staff at the IRD call centre and this usually results in the refund being paid immediately.

If your refund is over $2,000, the IRD may refer your return for additional checking process and this may take a little longer.
If we are required to file an IR3 on your behalf ( for example, if you have received other income other than wages or salary), or if we file any additional claim for Family Support payments, the whole process can take up to 6 weeks as the IRD have to perform their own calculations and unfortunately they simply don’t work as fast as we do.

Any delays will usually be a result of  a delay at the IRD. Rest assured we will be working as hard as possible to ensure you get your well earned refund as fast as practically possible.
