WHO GETS A REFUND?
During the past 3 years, over 74% of people who have signed up for our service have received a Tax Refund. However, of those people who have actually worked for wages or salaries during the past 5 years and haven’t filed a tax return with any other tax agent, a whopping 94.7% have received a tax refund though our service.
It is impossible to tell whether someone is eligible for a tax refund until we have completed a full assessment. There are so many factors that can affect the final result. However, we are experts at ensuring you get the biggest possible refund and make sure that you enjoy any of the tax rebates that you are entitled to such as:
- The Independent Earners Tax Credit – This is a rebate of up to $520 if you have earned between $24-$48,000 for the full year
- An Under $9880 rebate – an additional tax credit for any week that you worked more than 20 hours during any of the past 5 years if you earned less than $9880.
- Child Rebate – You can get up to $351 in rebates if you were under 18 and worked part time whilst at high school during any of the previous 5 years.
- Under $38,000 rebate, which applies in 2008 and 2007 if you earned less than $38,000 and could be worth up to $420 to you.
You can enjoy one or more of these rebates regardless of whether your employer has deducted the correct amount of PAYE from your wages. Of course your refund will be even bigger if your employer has deducted too much tax from your pay.
The great news is, we can recover any overpaid taxes for any of the past 5 years. Unfortunately the IRD won’t allow us to claim any refunds that are older than 5 years which we feel is a little unfair as it simply means the government get to keep your hard earned, overtaxed, money forever
If you don’t work, or at least haven’t worked prior to March it is less likely that we’ll be able to get a tax refund for you. However, if you have started work since March, we will automatically re-assess your situation at the end of the current tax year and ensure you receive the biggest possible tax refund.
The only way to find out if you’re owed a tax refund is simple....you just need to complete our easy on line application form.
